Ever since 7th grade Home Ec class, I have loved creating with fabric and thread. The focus of this creativity has evolved over the years. My very first class project was a skirt, with a zipper and faced waistline that turned out pretty cute. This inspired me to make a lot of my own clothes in my younger years.
Once my sons were born, I made a few baby outfits for them, and as they got older, they wanted me to make halloween and play costumes like their favorite TV characters.
Then I got my first embroidery machine! This opened up a whole new world of creativity! I wanted to embroider everything! When I was ready to upgrade my embroidery machine and took the new owner classes, I made friends with others in the class and to this day, we still get together when we can and we learn from, teach, and inspire each other. We each have our own specific "special interests" and skills, but we are closely connected by our shared love of our hobby.
Etsy has given me a place to share my projects with people that appreciate the time and effort that go into the process of hand made. Everything that I sell is made completely by me from the first cut of the fabric to the final stitch. When you buy something that I have made, you inspire me to continue to learn new techniques and to create items that are uniquely hand made.
